i liked it. it adds more to the "nameless samurai" motif.

truly a cruel fate for such a good show.
Gurren lagann would have been fine, if part 2 was completely reworked. Part 1 is a slick and tight story of badass action and revolution, but… part 2 is definitely something.
If I had the choice, I would have added just 5 minutes interspersed to help the emotional beats hit a little stronger.
ok you had me until you said that Gravity Falls ended everything perfectly. That's the one thing that Gravity falls dropped the ball on IMO.
I think the problem is that nobody liked his voice at the beginning since Aku was supposed to be dealing with "malaise". We've never really seen Aku be apathetic.
he's always said that Samurai Jack is based on his childhood fantasies of riding in the apocalypse with his first crush while wielding a blade and fighting mutants.
its already happened with Ikra. Jack would probably sudoku himself if that happened again
lance and Illana was platonic?! did you watch the last few episodes clearly setting up a potential romance?
well, very early on with Ikra its established that Aku is willing to go to incredible lengths to ruin any chance at rest that Jack will have.
I have a weird guess…. maybe its the spirit of the girl from the haunted house episode?
Holy crap you are still doing this?
I love that Maul tried to kill Obi the same way he killed Qui-gon, leading to both Qui gon and Maul dying in Obi-Wan's arms.
that was 100% recycled from Episode IV
welcome to why the Clone Wars worked in a lot of sense. Rebels' biggest fault IMO is that it didnt use the 4 episode arc structure that clone wars used quite a bit. Maybe these 2 episode arcs are enough.
Holy crap you are just eviscerating this show.
Im sorry, every episode was budgeted at 1 million, with some exceeding it.

Did anybody notice the cool Yslamiri(?) motif on Thrawn's star destroyer? that was pretty cool.
Its not just that. Clone Wars would have lucas paying hundreds of thousands of dollars of his own money to get the quality to that level. Rebels just can't have the budget because its not a pet project like TCW was.
yeah from my understanding Lucas would throw out 800 000 to a million per episode on some episodes.
