I'm fat-ish and I HATE how "you look like you've lost weight" stands in for any other compliment I may get. I look nice? People tell me I look thinner. I KNOW I haven't lost any weight, so it seems reductive somehow.

I don't get why people are cooing over Franklin. He's not Spike, people. He's not going to love Tara or become sort of good. He's gross, he's creepy, he's completely evil. Tara...

@rixatrix is as sweet as sour milk: He's a nerd, and a gamer, which is all stuff I like...but I'm worried he's TOO socially awkward for me to feel physical attraction for. Plus, he's lead a kind of sheltered life (I just fed him his first Thai food. Ever.) and that bothers me more than it probably should.

@chocolateandpeanutbutter: we just had a second date with no makeouts except for a relatively chaste goodnight kiss. No tongue. The first date was coffee so maybe what I'm calling a second date was really the first and he was trying to be a gentleman. We'll see.
