@bluebears: It always irritated me about the Gilmore girls that they eat nonstop but looked like Lorelai and Rory.

How do we discuss this topic? It's completely obvious to me why Hollywood pretends pretty girls are ugly - it's because they're not going to hire actual "ugly" girls - funny looking, unfortunate, fat but not sassy, whatever. Tina Fey is beautiful, yes, but she's also got some plain aspects, which makes her a candidate

I don't really get who would buy any gag gift, not just the egregiously sexist ones. If you give somebody one of those jars of mike and ike pills that say "over the hill" or whatever (that you can buy at spencers), you're a jackass.

when I wear eyeliner, I favor the fat, black variety. Benefit makes a nice one, that I've actually been using for YEARS (I do mean the same one - probably not great but still). The fatness makes it easier to apply a substantial line close to, but not *inside* my eye. I also flatten the area somewhat by pulling with

@LazyHippo: whenever a movie features pubic hair I always wonder aloud if it's merkins or not. Apparently, in Taking Woodstock, it's not, they found extras who aren't into the porn star look. Thank you, commentary.

@notsodarling: the movies aren't good but I did enjoy the Volturi. I just watched New Moon and found it a trifling bit of nothing, not even as lulzy as the first movie was.

@GGobsessed:Not that he's not a good writer, but Speigleman interviewed his father at length to get the stories for the books. That's probably exactly how his father talked. @shepoosclouds:

@rixatrix: at the risk of outing myself as really, really pitiful, I've tried that. Well, sort of. I tried it with a friend and we just sort of don't work, sexually, so it was...discouraging. I'm really bad at finding partners because I'm extremely self conscious. All. the. time.

@shepoosclouds: ok. I apologize for being defensive. I am extreeeemely pro graphic novel.

@shepoosclouds: argh, what exactly do you consider to be "a graphic novel person" and why are you not one? They're not all the same...

Jezebel, sleeping with your asshole ex is not a good way to get over him. Not that I needed to tell you that...

Yes, I somewhat violently *don't* want this woman to be famous. But she's going to be. Is. Blech.

@Gnatalby: to be honest, I see the word everywhere and I'm not entirely sure what it means. I meant that it made me feel bad because I've been in a situation where I needed help and had no one to call.

Is it petty of me to really, really not want this Michelle woman to get famous? She so clearly wants to be, and judging from the celebrity climate today, she will be. Tila/Heidi Montag type fame, but fame nonetheless. Ickypoo.

@BrynnP: oh god, you're really, really right.

@Gnatalby: I agree that I'd still rather watch 30 Rock than many other television offerings of today, I just can't shake the feeling that it's changed for the worse. Total agreement on the "Liz is hideous and undatable" thing being run into the ground.

Am I alone in my sad feeling that 30 Rock has started to kind of suck? I never thought I'd have to say it. For some reason, they're making Liz more and more pathetic, the jokes aren't as funny, and where have Toofer and Pete gone?
