I’ve found PreCheck varies greatly by airport and time of flight. Major “business” airports with redeye flights and stuff are going to see longer PreCheck lines than a more touristy airport in the middle of the day.

The Avengers still work for SHIELD, they just don’t know it. Coulson feeds them the information they use to choose their missions and targets (end of AoS Season 2 and the Age of Ultron tie-in)

No disagreement on the second point. Hive in the AoS show is simply too big of a threat to logically keep the resolution in the show itself. The narrative excuses for not involving Scarlet Witch or Vision, both of whom could destroy Hive before he could blink, are pretty weak.
