Unless Dawn has a direct impact later on in the plot (which since it’s not Valerian steel, it won’t) It was narratively unnecessary to expound upon.

If you have zero expectations yeah. It’s not that bad at all. There’s definitely some weird stuff - The whole Romeo/Juliet line, etc, but the action is decent, and Marky Mark knows he’s in a ridiculous movie and plays it up.

This is a pretty good thing for him to recognize, whilst doing it honestly. Superbad almost perfectly encapsulated the way high school kids talk and behave. It still resonates as an accurate representation of high school in the early 2000s.

I’m sure Dash and the Outrider, as well as Xisor and the Black Sun’s exploits, will make their way into canon somewhere. The stories might be different though.
