I’m from Youngstown, OH. Using the same mindset, I should not have been allowed to move away from there. It’s a shithole town! Which means the people there must be shitty too!

Damn right. People move, it doesn’t make them bad people. Americans move around for a lot of similar reasons. And the US has encouraged people to immigrate here for a very long time. Regardless of where the people originated. Even the tired and the hungry.
Nice! And that’s the general vintage I was thinking of.
That’s the bigger point. The unspoken meaning behind those words were that those countries are shitholes because of the people living there.
...Or the fact that a struggling country does not render the human beings who live there and want a better life into shitty people.
Jeffrey Toobin might’ve said it best yesterday:
One more reason to hate the 80's.
#TeamKillerMike (not because Nina Turner, but because NOT Oprah)
That looks fantastically spacious compared to modern vehicles with their overstuffed and cramped interiors.
What others said, they’re for making measurements. But a related piece of trivia that I also find fascinating: during the Trinity test - the very first atomic bomb detonation - Enrico Fermi waited for the shockwave to approach where he was standing and dropped some scraps of paper before, during, and after. Based on…
They’d launch smoke rockets just prior to detonation to measure the shockwave and fireball.
Smoke trails of small rockets, used to visualize the shock wave in air.
I appreciate your answers, and they do reflect what I hear from my high school classmates that never left that tiny rural town. They either don’t care, know they aren’t informed and so don’t think they should vote, or wouldn’t know an election was coming any more than they would be able to predict an earthquake.
Behind every shitty racist kid is a shitty racist parent.
White Power Forward
Hey cut the parents some slack. Those crosses aren’t gonna burn themselves.
I don’t understand why these boys couldn’t just hire a PR agency to explain to the public that the jerseys were their way of expressing honor and respect.
This suit will be dismissed pretty quickly. As the Buzzfeed statement says, the public interest was overwhelming and it was plainly not presented as verified fact.
