I’ve always wanted to quietly stick that on police cruisers.
I’ve always wanted to quietly stick that on police cruisers.
That is legit satire. I may need to go create some political art...
I grew up 10 miles away. There has never and will never be a legitimate reason to have an assault vehicle like that.
In fairness, that is courageous... For a racist prick like Dolan.
I’ve been watching the steamroller of racism since I was ~8 — 40 years on, and 40 years of disappointment. But today, I’ve never seen institutions in the business, culture, and public sector react as we’re seeing.
Ever notice there are never any “busses” for that bussing? Or any recruiting for said occupants? Or a paper trail for being “paid”? Or any evidence whatsoever?
“Decent white people’s role in this is to play defense, not offense. To stand between the cops and our less privileged fellow citizens.”
Perfect. This is the good news we needed today.
It’s an NB2. The NA came out when I hit high school so I’ve wanted one since. Have had this for 12 years and untold laps — They’re bulletproof and even an idiot can build/repair them (hi there). Can fit in a tiny side yard along with a Mini too (I’ve done it!). Alas, no extra seats for kids...
Amen. It’s up there with autoplayed videos. Fuck that shit.
“Let’s eat, Grandma.”
I’m old but I text with some 20+ years younger and they’re no different (with a few more abbreviations, though still complete thoughts).
I want to reach through my tiny screen and slap those people, every time.
Sadly, hieroglyphics are no better; Other threads are debating the offensive rudeness of a simple thumbs-up emoji...
What if you said “let’s meet at 6pm” and she was talking/working/walking? That’s what the thumbs up is for; A quick “cool/got it/affirmative.”
Nope. Your circle is the norm, his expectations are definitely not. Thumbs up with an eye-roll is sarcasm. On its own is “cool/affirmative/got it.”
Yup. It’s as fast as “OK” but less curt; A simple “affirmative.”
This seems strange so I just asked the people around me and NOPE — It means “affirmative.” As in “got it,” “will do,” or “cool (affirmative).”
This. I actually ended a relationship because a former-friend could not be compelled to send one to three texts. As in, 15-20 at a time, which typically means “emergency”, thus interrupting dinners, meetings, sex, etc...
