You can’t just blame it on the writers. As terrible as this episode was, it’s up to the editorial staff and directors to rein in the stupidity we saw on display in this episode. This is what happens though when you allow guest writers and directors. It also shows the results of Gilligan taking a hands-off approach…

I agree. I don’t know who wrote the episode, but I hope it’s someone who never returns. Easily the worst episode of the season, and maybe the worst of the series.

I think Caspar is the one you need to keep your eyes on. Kai is too obvious, and too well-known by the engineer, who has known and worked with him a long time and who respects his ability, even though he personally considers him an ass.

Sounded like a reasonable plan to me. The cop was a fucking ass. He’s also a stupid cop. A smart cop would have set up surveillance to see who all came to buy the phones and copy their license numbers

I was wondering if the card, with a lawyer’s number, might have been Howard. I doubt it was Kim, because Francesca knows her and if her name wasn’t on the card Jimmy would say something. Of course, she could have already known it was Kim.

No decent lawyer would fake a letter like that. Not for any reason. I don’t think even Saul, at his worst, would do that, damn sure not Howard or Kim. Doing something like that would be like committing rape and justifying it by using a condom. There just aren’t any good reasons to cross such ethical lines.
