I’m glad your cousin was able to be an honest outsider and that you got help. I hope your recovery continues and you don’t get back there again.

please don’t loudly masturbate at the sight of Tumblr-famous “heartthrob” Tom Hiddleston.

WTF is this article?

Hugh was too stunningly beautiful

I didn’t know anything about this before this Jez article (because I’m 44) but I read Natalie’s essay and just... holy shit, kids. Why are you like this?

Your handle!!

+1 for the handle

I mean... washing dishes takes less time than any sex I want to be having. And washing dishes comes after I cooked and ate a meal. I am probably feeling tired and bloated then, so who is out there thinking that’s a great time for sex? I’ll wash the dishes and pass out on the couch.

Maybe this is sort of a tangential point, but I would love to see an article on the size and impact of the informal, non-consumer childrearing economy. From my personal experience, there is a massive informal economy of people selling, trading, and giving away their used baby and kid stuff once they’re done with it.

What an idiot. If it’s all about keeping America great, the logo should obviously be a tiger shouting “We’re GREEEAAAAT!”

In fairness, that is the same on all college campuses.  It just so happens that everyone in Ann Arbor treats the entire area like they’re on campus.

Tell me about it. I was a normal looking 41-year-old in 2016. Just three years later and now I look like a 44-year-old Wilford Brimley.

I think this says it all (click the link):

Especially given the fact that in 2016 she was the “woman I would actually vote for president” to prove that I’m not misogynistic.

“Critics find her...” is code for a rhetorical construct created by those who fear her very strength. Warren doesn’t lack charisma; to the contrary, she’s got it in abundance, and that’s precisely why this canard is repeated constantly - to convince people that they’re not seeing the very qualities they are seeing.

Being paid large sums of money to write the same three columns over again, occasionally punctuated with one on how people are mean to him on Twitter, and then complaining to the manager is worthy of a lifetime achievement award in White Privilege.

It’s not a whole lot of money... I unfortunately am still clawing my way forward after resolving all of my debt.

Yeah, but if your entire economic orthodoxy rests on the notion that all economies are supply-driven, then acknowledging that recessions are demand-driven looks downright insane.

Sure that’s true, but it’s the Mouse that’s trying to get more out of this deal. Disney reportedly wants 50% stake in future movies of a character they already own the merchandise rights to.(they currently get 5% of first dollar gross)

Honestly, Gabriel Byrne could STILL get it—he remains fine as hell.
