Maybe as part of some racing kit this could be offered by the car maker. If you buy a racing package from ferrari, then they know you are going to race the car on some track and its ok to offer the fire suppression thing.

I don't think people would buy a car that needs a fire suppression system, and no car maker is gonna offer something like that, it would scare them away. Classic cars, like that miura that burned recently, should have that sort of thins, but i think is up to the owner.

Jalopnik has a great community of people commenting, and they make up for all the crap we get from time to time (is really not that much compare to the Gawker standar). Same here, I usually download the f1 race on mondays, (I like the high quality 720p 25fps) with full pre and post race coverage included, its 10-15gb so it takes a while. I won't go near jalopnik until I've watched the race. I don't like it, but is the only way.

By the way, I hate when they take me out of jalopnik.…
