The disguise factor of superhero costumes is the same effect as in Chinese martial arts films, where a woman dons male attire and is immediately accepted as male no matter how feminine her features or voice. A woman would never put on men’s clothing, and a person the character knows could never be a costumed…

If you think the show is actually glorifying Rick, you misunderstand it as badly as the people who idolize him and his ideology do.
