I played this at PAX and agree completely with your observations. There are some good ideas there but the execution just feels... boring.

While your reading may be correct, I think a more charitable reading would be that people have accused Young Thug of dressing like “a f-g” or being one because of his look for quite a while. In that more charitable reading, his words are a response to what others have called him rather than a homophobic line.
