“the Kings will hew to their traditional draft strategy and pick whichever players owner Vivek Ranadive fell in love with during the NCAA Tournament. The Skal Labissiere era is off to a roaring start.”
Hield actually is turning out to be a very good player, so the trade might not be as awful as first thought.
Maybe this move will bring dividends...maybe not. And say what you will about the trade — the Kings were much more fun to watch without Cousins at the end of the year, even when they were losing. He took his scowl to NO and did what he always does: scored points, got rebounds, and ended up with a pile of losses. If…
To be fair, based on his play down the stretch, getting Skal at the 28th pick could be the steal of the draft.
If his market value was much higher than that, the Kings would have gotten a bigger return. Sure, we can assume that the Kings’ incompetence prevented them from maximizing their return from trading Cousins, but it’s not like teams were offering huge hauls for him or anything.
This roster is terrible. It’s so bad that they have five centers and because of this they had to release Terrence Jones. I expect more of what happened against Houston. Calling this playing with house money is just ridiculous.
The game clock doesn’t stop for made baskets unless it’s the last 2 minutes of the game and OT. The shot clock doesn’t start until the inbounded ball is touched by a player. Everything in the article is correct.
A 5-second violation is for in-bounding the ball and the ball was in-bounded. Next time understand the rules before you try to put blame on the refs/commissioner.
