Interesting name you got there!
Interesting name you got there!
I dunno about the design comments. It's definitely out there, but I don't think I heard much better about Bangle's flame surfacing, uhhhh, *cough*, "innovations", and look what that did to the whole auto industry...
While I agree with you that what BMW did is a big deal, I think the Tesla is actually more important right now.
Dude, "honest" and "marketing" repel each other so hard naturally that my keyboard almost broke in half trying to type that.
"You all would rather slow everyone else down." That's like me saying, "you all would rather kill bikers and pedestrians than slow down."
Depending on state, that might not constitute jaywalking unless the pedestrian takes away a car's right-of-way (eg California).
In the actual article, he specifically says "we are talking only about high-volume streets here."
Ummm, because a bicycle is a form of transportation nearly as reliable as walking and multiple times faster and less energy-intensive. And, oh yeah, it's also cheap. The bike itself is orders of magnitude cheaper, the maintenance is orders of magnitude cheaper (and you can do almost everything with a simple tool kit),…
You still have variation in lane width based on location. Trying driving in Boston/Cambridge, New York, Baltimore, Raleigh, San Francisco, Los Angeles, etc. and see how different the design of those streets is from one another.
Then there may very well be a slight shift away from road-going boats and towards actual cars. Not saying it's guaranteed, but it makes sense. If that were to happen, double whammy!
You know... saying you saw something on I-80 is pretty much like saying you saw it in the US.
I've lived for a few years both in Southern and Northern (Sac area) California, and spent good amounts of time inland as well. I would be willing to bet that the only reason it doesn't say squirrel is because everyone is so annoyed with those things that they try to ignore their existence to begin with.
It's just annoying that the first comment I got in response saw the edit, and the next ones seem to be blind to it. I have also never experienced Kinja cutting part of a comment off, but whatever.
Seriously? For fuck's sake, did you even bother to read the edit? I didn't just put it there for my own comfort, you know.
I found it on f1fanatic. I guess the idea is that because of the possible bleeding and swelling in the brain, they don't want to deal with the vibrations and altitude changes caused by the Medevac.
This accident happened on lap 42, which was a good few laps before they stopped the race. The note from the FIA to the media states that he was taken to the hospital by ambulance, which implies he was not Medivac-ed. If the reason behind that is the inability of the Medivac to operate under those conditions, that's…
They weren't trying to "piss off an unruly mob." Can you guess how I know that? It might be because there was no unruly mob for the majority of the time they were there. The mob appeared after they had been in the country long enough to almost finish the episode, and only seems to have come about after some bored…
Same way that driving over 75 mph would be a law violation in most states, yet talking about a car's top speed and horsepower as a headline isn't click bait?
So, just so you know, the term auto-pilot comes from planes, which ALSO cannot complete a trip 100% autonomously. They cannot complete takeoff or landing, and in many cases also crap out during adverse weather (the first in the series of events that caused the Air France flight to crash out of Brazil).
