Not a single mention of Maya Rudolph?

"making mixtapes for a guy who’s nothing more than a wig and some sunglasses" = how I'll probably spend yet another summer vacation in Provincetown

It wasn't just fat jokes. It was her cluelessness that put her over the top, in the best way.

Yay!

Patchouli.

So she's playing an actor playing herself in an exaggerated version that references her previous career… like Matt LeBlanc is currently doing on Episodes.

Did you not see the scenes for next week?

Most of the addresses they use make no sense. I wasn't aware it was filmed in Toronto, but it's obviously not New York-based.

Her comment about Laganja demanding attention versus commanding it was surprisingly perceptive, as well.

I feel like maybe it's just her inherent Aussie sense of humor. I think about movies and TV shows like Muriel's Wedding, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, and Summer Heights High, which all seem to revel in that uncomfortable insult moment.

Nope.

I'd add Madonna's Like a Prayer to the list. 25 years later, it's clearly her pop masterpiece.

You should have seen her snorting lines of coke on Dallas this week.
