Which, personally, I find a bit ridiculous. As I put in my most-recent reply, when Barnes threw at the batter and almost hit him in the head, that was a situation way more likely to go wrong. And, unsurprisingly, it did.

Note I never said that this is an ok/legal/ethical thing to do, in fact I distinctly mentioned that in my previous post. The umpire warns Sale because he did something very wrong, but the question is whether throwing behind is an intent to injure.
The literal purpose of “throw behind” is to “throw behind” a player. How is a pitcher trying to hurt someone (not talking about right or wrong here, just talking about attempt to injure) by throwing 1' in front of them as opposed to 1' behind them?
You think throwing behind a batter is trying to injure them?

Guess it depends on whether you feel the onus is primarily on the game creators or the populace on how a game is interpreted. The creators have every right to show a mostly-naked character, but buyers have every right to interpret that how they will. It remains extremely easy to dump this in with DOA or shitty…
Breaking: O’s fan says O’s are innocent.
Is it possible that people see screenshots with a mostly-naked, fan-servicy character and question whether other design decisions are similarly shallow and cynical? Many games predominantly put the fan service on display because that’s all they have, and it’s easy for more respectable games like this to be lumped in…
