OK, that's worse.
But these appear only within a few weeks of expiration dates and only on some of the Netflix apps. Would it be so hard for Netflix to give us a full month's notice (or more)?
The Blu-ray currently costs $30. No dice.
Love this idea.
This is why Netflix has profiles. Create a profile for you and a profile for your kids.
Bandwidth usage is already crazy high and that's not changing anytime soon. Why not help users better schedule when to watch?
I do love the quality of Blu-ray movies, but I far prefer the convenience of streaming 1080p content instantly whenever I find time to watch.
That's a great idea.
Yes, it is indeed there on "My List" in the web browser, in barely noticeable gray and only listed if the title is expiring in the next few weeks. Netflix used to give you a heads up by months if a title was expiring and would show the date on every individual title page.
Yeah, that article is just for the titles that expired on Jan. 1. Where is Gizmodo's article for the titles expiring April 1st, hmm?
This is why Redbox has become a popular option for a lot of people. Check Netflix first. No? Then check Redbox.
As noted above, Netflix will show a tiny notification in "My List" if the title is expiring within a few weeks. But that's it. If you want to better plan what you watch, you need more than a few weeks' notice. Like those who are watching 24 right now and won't have time to finish before April 1st.
Yes, only some apps make it easy to see when something is expiring soon. But even with that, it would be a lot easier to plan your viewing habits if you had more than just two weeks notice, right?
As someone who watched every season of 24, I'd recommend that you stop at the end of season 5 and pretend that it ended there. Seasons 6, 7, and 8 are pretty uninspired.
Getting cut off in the middle of good TV show is the worst.
The only place an expiration date might show up now is on an item in My List that will expire within a few weeks. So if you cycle through your entire queue once a week, you might be able to keep track of what's expiring soon. But if you're like me and have hundreds of items in the queue, that's not an easy task.
