I lived on Maui for 10 years, the best thing I had was an 83 CJ7, it had the small 151ci Iron Duke 4cyl mated to a very nice T-176 trans and Dana 300 t-case. It had enough power to get around the Maui roads no problem, it got pretty good mileage in a place where gas costs 50% more than the mainland and it seriously

I shot a video of what I believe is that same McLaren M23 in these shots at Griots a while back, it's signature engine cover is off in the video, but still the real deal.

I should say, it helped me at least. I was getting very sleepy on a long drive at night and realized I had been driving for 3 hours without it on (11 total that day). Once it was back on it sort-of took a little bit of that focus away from managing the pedals (sad, I know) in my 500E to give me enough energy to focus
