Yeah. It's run a (heavily modified?) version of Android as its system software, which provides a hub for its more advanced features like cheats and save states.

Are they seriously releasing TVs without composite video in now? I know that they've been skimping for years (the last few TVs I've had have combined 5-cable component inputs with the 3-cable composite inputs), but I've yet to see a TV that omits them entirely.

I would argue that Hyperkin's Facebook page has been very badly managed throughout all of this, actually. They've been pretty tone-deaf about complaints there. While there's probably very little they could do via Facebook mollify people angry about the year long delay, doing things like unboxing videos and contests

Long story short, Hyperkin tried to bat wayyy out of their level. They're a small company whose primary audience to date had been people who frequent secondhand CD/DVD stores and cheap toy stores. Their last product (the RetroN 3) turned into more of a sensation than they were expecting, so they shot for the stars

Nah, there's a reason. Boosting. It's just not a particularly good reason is all.

Yes, well, hypotheses are much easier to deal with if you don't let reality get involved. :-)

Y'know, I could very easily make the observation that Adam Carolla and Jerry Lewis are probably not the people you want to ask for insight on comedy. Heck, even Hitchens is funnier, and he's not a comedian. And he's dead. But I won't go there. 'Twouldn't be dignified.

In fairness, those hypotheses aren't mutually exclusive. Why women might (hypothetically) make fewer jokes in mixed company, and why men would therefore assume that women are less funny, could very well be a product of sexism/patriarchy.

I apologize. You are, of course, free to feel whatever you like, and it was honestly not my intention to criticize. I was just interested in sharing my thoughts, and in the discussion I hoped would follow. I also did not intend to derail you by commenting on the odds of anything one way or the other. And the thing is,

I'd be more than totally fine with seeing her in the film franchise in some capacity, up to and including a solo movie. I just think putting her in the first JL movie sends a message that a character's viability in the movies is directly related to her ability to be marketed as an extension of the Batman franchise.

Guillermo Del Toro on line one....

Every dog I've ever met gets really, really angry when I try to mimic either their barking or their panting. It's such a guaranteed, fool proof berserk button for them that I have to assume that I've accidentally stumbled upon how to insult their mother in dog language.

I know that Kate Kane isn't part of Batman's inner circle from an in-universe perspective, but that's not really what I'm getting at. She's very much part of the Batman franchise from an editorial perspective. As someone who never liked the "Big Three" take on the DCU, and who has seen that particular interpretation

Oh, definitely. I'm not defending Card: he got all the negative publicity he deserved in response to his Superman story. It's just that his hate speech isn't particularly new, so I'm a bit nonplussed that it wasn't an issue back when he was writing a big name property for Marvel.

I don't mean to derail the discussion, but does the XB1 game pad officially support PCs now? It didn't when I looked a few months ago, IIRC. If that's changed I may need to go out and buy one.

Even if the leak is false (which I think is reasonably likely, to be honest), WB has previously announced that they're planning for a solo Wonder Woman movie. When they signed Gal Gadot, it was a three-picture deal, and it was explicitly said that it was for BvS, Justice League, and a solo film. That's not necessarily

WB's plans to get a Wonder Woman production off the ground do seem to have been cursed by their general ineptitude to date. But they've announced a movie, and have cast an actress, which is more than Marvel Studios had done by this point in their evolution.

Personally, I don't know that you absolutely need to introduce a character with an origin story. That's kind of taken for granted in superhero movies, but it's not really a requirement in any other medium. Batman and Superman both initially appeared as fully-realized characters in the comics: we didn't get the

I still think the good money's on everyone who's not Batman or Superman serving in little more than a cameo role in BvS, as a lead up to the Justice League movie. People didn't freak out when Marvel Studios signed an umpteen-picture deal with Samuel L. Jackson, after all, and WB has said nothing about the nature of

The only reason I wouldn't want Batwoman is because DC/WB has a nasty habit (IMO) of making everything about the Batman family, and I'd rather see other corners of the DCU get some exploration. There are plenty of strong female characters who don't have the benefit of Batman's popularity and deserve a chance to shine.
