It has, yes, but it also has a year's headstart. The problem isn't (just) the raw sales figures, but that it's considered extremely unlikely for sales to turn around so late into a system's lifespan. The Xbox One is still in its early honeymoon period; the Wii U is not.
I was just thinking that. I used to read the Post all the time, and I'm pretty certain the stream of offensive inanity wasn't nearly so strong nor so constant back then. What the heck happened?
Nintendo may not have much choice, though. It's not clear to me what they can do to get third-parties to sign on with the Wii U other than doing the best they can to increase sales and, well, hoping. And they can't just launch a new console on short notice. So they're stuck with the Wii U they have, not the one they…
I think people are getting ahead of themselves, though. Nintendo had a very, very good E3 showing. They needed one: a failure here would here would have likely screwed over any chance they had of recovering this generation. But the unfortunate flip side of that is that a successful E3 doesn't ensure recovery, it just…
Sonic's traveling at at least 40 rods to the hogshead, and that's the way I likes it.
If you reached the speed of light (c), there'd be a heck of a lot more than a "tiny amount" of time dilation, though it wouldn't allow you to move backward in time, either. It would completely upend our existing understanding of physics, though.
Pshaw. Everyone knows you only need to reach 88 MPH to travel through time. By my math, Sonic can travel fast enough to travel through time twice.
More or less, yeah. His early pictures and accompanying text establish the broad idea, but many of the specifics (like, for instance, the idea that Slender Man corrupts any video recordings made of him) were added by later contributors.
It's not the only PS3 game in the pipeline, though. Isn't Persona 5 a PS3 exclusive?
Do you have a citation for Square Enix saying that "they were bringing all" of the Final Fantasy games to Steam? I would have expected that to be bigger news, especially since porting some of the older games is probably not an entirely minor undertaking....
This isn't the guy who made Slender. This is the guy who (under the handle "Victor Surge") made the original Slender Man image that was posted on Something Awful back in 2009. He is, in fact, the creator of the character. Though, granted, the concept went viral and has evolved considerably from his original two images.
There was an editorial in the Washington Post last weekend that was criticizing the Kickstarter campaign for a variety of reasons. Most of those reasons were either misinformed or dishonest about the nature of both Reading Rainbow (it's not about teaching children how to read, it's about teaching them to love reading)…
Realistically, there's not much armor that could protect you from dragon fire. So it's kind of a moot point: you could just as easily wear a sackcloth as a loin cloth. But most of the time there are other considerations. Presumably you won't only be facing off against dragon fire, so if a suit of armor doesn't help…
Saying that something is "a male power fantasy" in no way implies that all men "want to be impossibly muscled hulks." As arguments go, that's either ridiculous or dishonest. All that's required is that a reasonably sizable audience of male consumers (not even a majority, necessarily) feel that way. Not every male…
It's not worth it, honestly. The game is still enjoyable, even without the patch, but it's not like you're missing out on some original vision of the game by going straight to the restored content mod. It's just a more fleshed out and less awkward game. And I'd imagine you can find clips of the original ending on…
KOTOR2 actually doesn't take a stand. Revan's morality (and gender, I think...?) aren't fixed in the sequel, and you can "set" them in the first real conversation in the game. Canonically (back when the games were canonical to the Star Wars universe, I guess), Revan is male and the Exile is female, though.
I think there's a difference, though. I didn't get the feeling that Mass Effect 3's ending was rushed, particularly. It was flawed, sure, but that felt like a conscious choice to me: the ending as originally released was more or less as BioWare conceived it. KOTOR2, on the other hand, was clearly rushed. The ideas…
Actually, the Wii dropped GCN compatibility a full year before the release of the Wii U. Were you thinking that the Wii Mini was the first time GCN compatibility was dropped? The Family Edition model dropped it in late 2011.
The Wii is only backwards compatible with the GCN. The Virtual Console is emulation that doesn't support the original media. That's not backwards compatibility, since you're still buying new media.
