Yohoho?
Yohoho?
Oh yes. I remember I couldn’t play that game until I got an HD TV, so it just kind of sat on my shelf for a year.
I mean, yeah. Using a PC in the 90s was, broadly speaking, a fuck-fest. I experienced that particular moment in computing history as a kid and it colored my perception of the PC as a gaming platform for over a decade. Also:
I remember buying a Metal Gear Solid collection several years ago and learning that those games did not allow X-axis inversion. I couldn’t do it. The game was unplayable. Granted, I only tried for about 10 minutes, but it was obnoxiously difficult. I’ve still never played those games.
I do game on my PC, but I avoided it for years after my experience in the 90s and early 00s, keeping a stack of boot disks for various games and researching (on 90s internet, no less) what might be causing the latest all new error that was keeping me from playing my game. Consoles are reliable.
The only reason I’ve ever not replaced a cracked windshield is because I didn’t have hundreds of spare dollars sitting around. Fortunately, this means I probably can’t afford a windshield fancy enough to nag me about being broken in the first place.
LJN games definitely had a rep for being the opposite of fun
I rented and owned so many LJN games before I was old enough to associate studios with general quality. They managed to license so many of my favorite properties and characters into such incredibly bad games. Arcade’s Revenge was probably the last LJN title that I bought. I still get that “I want my money back”…
What if, and now hear me out, they made them upgradeable? Maybe offer some peripherals that make input easier, like a board full of keys and a handheld pointer device. They could even offer an alternate, more general purpose operating system so that 3rd party companies could develop various apps. And people could…
I know one service it will never disappear from. Yohoho.
If he loses his license, there is a 100% chance that he is priced out of Scottsdale and will experience some drastic changes in lifestyle.
They feel untouchable. They’re going to flagrantly break laws and be transparently racist, especially when on camera just to make sure the point is driven home that they get to do what they want.
Attractive probably isn’t his top concern. She’s no model but she’s far from a bridge troll. And apparently she’s DTF. For a lot of men, especially middle-aged men who don’t fit in at the dance clubs anymore, that’s more than enough.
I’d be OK with taking Barron’s place. I doubt he’s done anything too illegal yet, and there’s a chance that Melania’s already done what she can to insulate him from Daddy’s financial risks via prenup.
I always wanted to make a website showing off ridiculous trucks and SUVs called sorryaboutyourpenis.com. Too bad I don’t know jack about making websites.
I have yet to find truly great wings in my area and it’s always made me wonder how wings even got to be as popular as they are
I only had access to marijuana and other illegal drugs as a teen because they were illegal. Otherwise I probably would’ve stuck to alcohol. Turns out dealers don’t ask for ID.
A whole buncha folk were put out of work and a lot of the rest weren’t making enough to begin with and are now on shakier ground than ever. I’m not super surprised that looting is happening. America #1!
When I was younger, I always took off the day after my birthday. My bosses always asked why I didn’t take my actual birthday off, why always the day after? It’s because “I’m not going out drinking the night before my birthday.”
I’d never looked too closely at the history of Unix beyond the broadest of overviews. Thank you for the insight :)
