Wait wait wait!!! I thought all these guys (because it’s sure as fuck not women) needed a pickup truck. For work. Because of the speed bumps in the office park garage, of course. Is it possible they were just coddling their own masculinity all along? Nah.

Depending on what circles one runs in, things that are very masculine coded are guilty pleasures. As far as music, nu-metal immediately comes to mind. Outside of music, professional wrestling is a candidate. I don’t have many friends (male or female) that would admit to liking either of those things.

Bandwidth is a good point. In the US, at least, there are only so many cities where 15-25Mbps is reliably available. I technically have that, but there are other people in my house who might want to play games, or watch Netflix, or otherwise use the Internet while I’m gaming. And screw you, I guess, if you happen to

Lots of people want this. They may not realize it because it’s not something lots of people think about, but lots of people want this. The same way lots of people wanted Spotify once they realized it was an option. Gamers (with a capital G) don’t want this and will likely never embrace it, but they’re not the

This is probably going to be much cheaper for a lot of people than buying a $400 console (or multiple $400 consoles) or, God forbid, spending hundreds or thousands on a gaming PC and then plunking down $60 (and more for DLC!) per game. If this is even somewhat reliable, it will probably come to dominate gaming in

If I hit 80, I’m tryin’ heroin.

It is WAY easier on the eyes if you’re working in anything other than a broad daylight environment. And I personally find the syntax highlighting in most text editors (for editing config files) stands out much better on a dark background.

Chrome on Linux can adhere to your GTK theme and match your overall DE, which is very nice. Firefox can do this as well. I was super disappointed when Chrome stopped letting GTK alter the URL bar color though. This is seriously the issue that made me switch over to Firefox.

That’s great and all, but why only every 90 minutes? And why only FCC commissioners? Shouldn’t include congresspeople as well? And it should be fucking constant. Just go through the list of numbers and then start over again with no breaks.

Howard Schultz doesn’t want to be president. I’m sure he genuinely dislikes Trump as much as he claims, but he’d rather Trump be president than any of these Dems promising to tax his coffee dollars. I’m sure that if by some odd twist of fate he did become president (hey, it happened to Trump), he’d champion marijuana

No payments is super nice! I’m rolling around in an 06 xB that still shows no signs of giving out anytime soon. I could buy another one if I needed to, but why?

I see no problem with longer loan periods if you’re getting a longer warranty period. If you take 6 years to pay off a car and then have 4 years of warranty left, I see no problem. Assuming that your goal in buying a car is to have a working car for as long as possible.

Yay for financial geniuses giving out the “stop buying Starbucks every morning” of car buying advice.

I finally took Messenger off of my phone a few weeks ago, lack of dark mode being one of the final straws. And now I see this. If they’d had this (and a dark mode for the FB app as well while we’re at it) I might have kept the apps a bit longer.

Depending on your location, this could be great advice. If you’re one of just a few buildings for miles around out in the plains and/or the power lines are the tallest things in the area, then yeah, you’re in some amount of risk. A lot of us live near buildings much taller than our own homes and taller than the power

I’ve known several Sonic employees and they’ve all made (slightly) over minimum wage, but tips are common. Small tips, but tips nonetheless. I personally always have them keep whatever coins may be involved when paying cash but that’s less out of generosity and more because I don’t need more coins taking up space in

Signal has a desktop app, but only for Signal messages. SMS has to happen on the handset. For messaging, it’s just fine. But it’s missing some minor convenience features here and there.

I’m always a bit amazed at the ongoing popularity of WhatsApp and people recommending it seeing as how Facebook owns it. They’ve been rather poor stewards of the information they already have in their reach, so it’s some pretty magical thinking to believe that they’ll leave their mitts off of your “encrypted” chats.
