Well, you’ve certainly given me new-found enthusiasm for advocating free abortion on demand as an absolute right, so thanks for that. It seems like you’re at least trying to be even-handed and thoughtful here, and this all sure sounds nice in the abstract. (Why can’t we just BALANCE the rights of the fetus and the

You make a very very good point here.

How many years of ever-declining access do you need to see before you wonder what exactly those tactics are useful for? Is it really that hard to see that having a full-throated, utterly sincere argument for no legal restrictions on abortion helps promote access to abortion?

Until “pro-lifers” come out in strong favor of science-based sex education and free access to contraception, they can all kindly shut the fuck up.

chickham’s apple farm skit was also pretty damn funny.

Time for Joe to retire and Hillary as well. Compared to their grandparents’ day, they were progressive, but time keeps on.

No shit. My mom is around that age, and I’m regularly horrified over that comes out of her supposedly “progressive” mouth. She thinks AOC needs a slap across the face for challenging Pelosi. I’m like, “AOC is a grown woman with a directive from her constituents. If Pelosi slapped her, that’s a crime. What is wrong

She is the best, but this wasn’t her best sketch of the night...I freaking loved the apple picking ad.

I’ve felt this way about older coworkers. I might be your daughter’s age, but I’m not your daughter. Do not chastise me for “time mismanagement” when I want to go to the doctor over my lunch hour after I spent nights and weekends working for you. Also I’m in my 40s and so is your daughter so you shouldn’t be talking

I love her show on Hulu!  I wasn’t aware of her until I watched Shrill, but she’s amazing!

I just read an Oral History of SNL on a cruise back in June. The early years were exactly the misogny, the drugs and nonsense you’d expect. Notable exception of Jane curtain who came to work, and then went home to a husband and dog adorably. But yeah you can tell Lorne is sadly clutching to it like his lost youth. I’d

I feel like whatever cast was on during your sleepover years becomes “your” cast.

Aidy is very good. I especially like the pageant sketches she did last year. For me Cecily Strong is the best but Aidy’s a real talent, and I’m so glad Shrill was so well-received.

He also seems to be a really nice guy, and has handled various humiliating and infuriating situations pretty well. I hope he has a good season.

That’s Bowen Yang, promoted out of the writer’s room. He’s very funny online, I hope he has a lot of screen time this year.

I still watch SNL too. It reminds me of the good old days when I’d have a friend over for a sleepover and we’d watch SNL (John Belushi Dan Ackroyd era). I’d have to turn up the teevee to cover the sound of my mom and her boyfriend getting busy.

This is literally the entire purpose of a primary. To pick each other apart to put the best candidate forward.

Well, it did buy my house...

Jesus. I hope the money was worth it.
