Because white folks see POCs as objects
That happened to my 9 year old! We were at a children’s museum and she was wearing a crop top. Some lady took her photo without my permission or knowing and posted it on a fb mom blog mom shaming me and and slut shaming my kid. She is 9! She wasn’t trying to be sexual! She wore it because she likes crop tops and she…
If reading source material is necessary to enjoying a film, you haven’t made a very effective film.
Oh no, not my favorite app Humour Camera
The names alone scream sketchy af
Who downloads these weird, crappy apps in the first place?
Honestly I’m going to be sad to say goodbye of course, but I am very happy that Schur & Co are sticking to their limited timeframe.
Sadly there will only be four seasons, not five. The fourth season is the one premiering in a couple weeks.
LOL why is he holding in the rails like that, is she scaring him? also sorry timo, but you kissed armie hammer better
This! Wisconsin can fuck right off with that “We tell folks we can sell their information if we want to” bullshit. There’s no alternative choice for a drivers license!
I watched the Midsommar director’s cut just the day before seeing this movie, and that’s a perfect example of a long movie that didn’t seem long to me. The original theatrical release was like 2 and a half hours and it didn’t feel long to me at all; they added like 25 minutes to the director’s cut and it really didn’t…
Somebody was reviewing a movie.
Some long movies don’t feel that long but this one did. I didn’t find part one scary but thought I may as well see part two anyway. I’m not a fan of all the special effect stuff. Tim Curry did such a good job of being super creepy mostly by just being super creepy (apart from the teeth). The special effects just put…
“When they involve more spooking by Pennywise, you know the kid will survive the scene by virtue of the fact that you were just watching a version of this character as an adult. The stakes are low as Chapter Two just stands there, shuffling its clown shoes.”
to be made again in 27 years:)
they include some crap they shouldn’t and then change a key element in the book for some bizarre reason (okay, the reason is racism): the only Black “loser” in the club is Mike Hanlon, who, in the book has a smart, responsible, and supportive father (and intact family—three generations); in the movie, his parents are…
I don’t think you know what reviewing is if you think a person should be ‘objective’ when reviewing something.
I just watched the original made for TV and honestly, it was way better than than either of the new ones seem to be. It wins on camp factor alone. The interspersing of the scenes as children with the adult flashes is really all we needed. This seems like it’s overstuffed and super confusing.
God, this was the longest movie. When it ended my first thought was “my god, was that three hours?!” Basically my partner and I walked out and both said “Did that movie have a plot? What was the plot?” I just...don’t know how they managed to drag out that really empty plot-line for so long. It looked great, though.
