I am cool. Mostly because my desk is right under an a/c vent and I forgot my cardigan today.

This is very different from reproductive freedom. A better anaolgy is forcing people to have car insurance to drive. It’s not all about saving YOU. It’s also about saving OTHERS you could infect because they’re not able to vaccinate yet.

It seems to me that the law is accomplishing exactly what was intended. People can choose not to get vaccinated, but then they forfeit the privilege of attending school and playing sports with the rest of us. They are choosing their own semi-isolation from polite society.

They don’t understand how serious it is and think the deaths and disabilities are a thing of the past. We’re stronger, healthier, well-nourished and have better medical care now so childhood diseases are less risky, but anti-vaxxers think it’s risk-free. When someone dies, they assume that person had other illnesses…

I know an anti-vaxxer, she is a otherwise a very nice person. I posted a cartoon on my facebook about how stupid it is not to vaccinate your kids. She practically wrote me an essay on how none of her three kids are vaccinated and gave me a link with some ridiculously easy to debunk “facts” about the causes of autism…

There’s a measles investigation in my county, and the school district I work in sent out a public health alert. I’m alarmed that my son’s school district, 7 miles away in the same county, did not send out an alert.

I just got home after seeing Hannah Gadsby tonight. Addressing both her autism and anti-vaxxers, she brilliantly deconstructs and destroys the latter in her new show, “Douglas.” Basically saying that they not only negate and devalue her place in the world in regards to her experience, but also place the value of one…

I realise this story is about a specific community, but what generally is the anti-vaxxer response to the fact that their choices have resulted in so many children getting sick? I don’t know any anti-vaxxers (that I’m aware of) and I don’t pursue their company.

He bought a house for his mom and moved into the “basement” because he has mental health problems and they figured that’s the safest arrangement for him. For example, indigenous governance in Canada is largely under the Indian Act. The sole fact that is what it’s called should give some pause, and it only gets worse the more you get into it.

We are same. I’m a carnivore happy to eat vegetarian and vegan food. I have no fucken interest in vegan “bacon” or cauliflower “steaks”. It’s childish honestly. I’m a grown up, I can eat my veggies without being tricked ffs.

That story about going through a grocery store and accidentally grabbing a Beyond Beef package, he doesn’t say what the bad consequence of that is. Given his position, I’m assuming he thinks accidentally not feeding his son real beef will turn him gay?

So small government conservatives and anti-regulation types are very angry about this?

Also, what has he done to his children that the only way to end a tantrum is by providing a beef product?
