Ernest Dickerson directed this episode and IMO he's directed some of the best episodes. I don't think it was a mistake. I think it was intentional.

He saw the dog through the semi boarded up windows. That didn't change.

Daryl doesn't get careless. That's not shown to be the case in show and I don't buy it here for one second.

There in lies the rub. Since Kirkman is involved in writing the show I think he has a hard time letting go of his original babies. Then we'd have the hue and cry from the comics followers that they deviated too far. In other words, damned if they do and damned if they don't

I've seen this discussed on other forums besides AVClub. So you weren't alone. It's just peculiar.

I suspect we don't see Terminus until the season finale and that shapes next season's arc.

My speculation is that it's the band of marauders that kidnapped Beth and found Daryl. I think they have some kind of despicable agenda beyond being marauders. And they might be involved in Terminus.

It served the narrative purpose of setting up Carol's banishment from the group. That's a pretty big storyline.

I would love it if Daryl quickly pieced together that Beth was not in that car voluntarily and that he decided to join the group because he figures they took her and he can find a way to get her out.

But that would not sustain the mystery. Even if she did scream, Daryl wouldn't have heard it because he was fighting off the zombie hoard in the morgue.

I think Maggie might be on the verge of her own mental meltdown. I think she's not asking about Beth because IMO she can't contemplate the thought of Beth being dead, because that would be the end of it for her considering she saw her father beheaded just a short time ago. If she loses Glenn and Beth, IMO she's done.

It's so weird that so many people misheard that. Not being snarky. Like what in the sound or the dialogue or even in her delivery made that so confusing?

It was definitely the gang from the house Family Richonne was staying in. The leader was sitting on the porch railing. Once Rick got out of the house, he was skulking along the side of the porch and was going to take the guy out when the gang was attacked by the walkers. Rick saw Michonne and Carl heading for the

To be fair, they split up the group so that Tyreese runs into Carol who has the big secret about killing Tyreese's GF. I don't think that's a matter of keeping the black men apart as much as creating the drama for the next episode. But the fact that Sasha, Bob and Tyreese are all alive is a miracle in itself.

I don't think it matters if the women are hot, but moreso young and of child bearing age. I remember in 28 Days Later how Sanctuary was all about getting the women for the remaining troops in order to start repopulating the planet and for then enjoyment of the remaining soldiers. I have a terrible feeling Terminus

He didn't just drop his guard. He jumped to the conclusion that it was the dog. Daryl has never been shown to make those kinds of leaps or dropped his guard especially in a new environment. None of that was in character for Daryl. They dumbed him down to make room for Beth's disappearance/kidnapping.

As to the reanimation time differences: That was explained all the way back in S1 in "TS-19". The good doctor, her husband and the rest of the CDC discovered that it's not the same for everyone when they attempting to find a cure and CDC guy explained they didn't know why. So on that point, it's not breaking their

How do we know it's specific to Rick's group? I don't think it's a reach to think that even if Bob didn't know the term, surely he could surmise they meant the undead humans that could kill them. I loved that Daryl asked the 3 questions that were supposed to be asked when encountering a new person.

Daryl fighting off the zombies was badass. Unfortunately, it took a contrived scenario of Daryl suddenly losing brain function by not looking through the windows of the door to arrive at that badass moment.
