I don't understand how this could circumvent the ISP's limits by doing it later, but I can see this being handy when you don't want to waste a low bandwidth connection downloading something. When I visit the in-laws in a rural area they have DSL at 1 Mbs. I watch a lot of downloaded video podcasts so I can see this

Holy Cow Batman! What an awesome list!

I manage mine manually, but lucky I did that way back before I amassed some 9000 songs on my iPod! There are a lot of genres and some sites are way too rigid in what they classify things as. For instance at eMusic, Celtic gets labeled as reggae as does all the world music genre there. Since you have a smaller amount

Meh...I'd rather use Smart Playlists and sort of create my own "Genius" Mixes. For instance I have a list that auto-populates with chill music based on certain genres and the number of stars I give the song. Sort of works, but the nice thing is I don't have to fix it as I add music to iTunes and it plays only the good

I'd agree with that...seems there are great sites with all channels based on your location/provider that have full EPG data (zap2it.com), but no notifications, other sites that send out a reminder via SMS (remembertowatch.com) but only cover popular shows and some like this one that has some, but not all channels

Just an FYI, if you go into "other" contacts and start cleaning up and you use Google's Buzz, take note that those people you follow who aren't a part of your "My Contacts" group can be deleted and you will no longer follow them. I learned the hard way when I selected all and deleted and then noticed my Buzz feed was

I think like most things with Google it's slowly rolling out. I didn't have it yesterday, but it showed up today.

Sweet....Just installed it and it works great. It will be a nice addition to Firefox since I also use Linux machines.

Installing software on a Blackberry is a pretty good example of this in action. If you load even an upgrade and the software does anything with your information on the phone, it will present you with the screen where you can tweak what settings/info the app has access to. Of course most people just accept all and move

I sometimes use the magnifier to enlarge QR codes on websites that are small enough that my smartphone's crappy camera can't seem to see. Once you enlarge the QR code, the phone seems to pick it up easily.

This is why I carefully read through the privacy rules of site sign-ups. Typically websites will automatically opt you in to third party vendors sending you related info. I always uncheck that and will usually try to go through the site as a guest if I can just so I can keep the spam at bay. What I love most about the

Man I'm tired of these "browser wars". There are so many ways of testing that it's not really a good picture. To me, all three of the new browsers are big improvements over the older browsers (Chromes has always been fast). I use both Firefox and Chrome and I've had sites that are slow in either one. I've even had

Tweet and follow others and they will come. Interact with others and others will start following. Using hash tags to mark certain key search words will help too.

Why doesn't Google just build this into GMail already.....can't be that difficult for them.

One wonders if all these online backup providers are going to release a virus tomorrow to wipe people's drives.....food for though! Just kidding.

Things to note: iTunes doesn't change the list till Tuesdays, and it never seems to happen at a particular time. Sometime I have to wait till Wednesday to see what is free. Make sure that when you click on the song it is truly free. Apple has occasionally forgotten to remove the price for the week and people get

I've been playing with this and it seems to work, but note the weather readings are in Celsius. Outta luck in the US as far as I can tell. Not as robust as the SMS method.

LifeHacker probably pushes Dropbox because it's available on Windows, Mac OS, Linux, Blackberry, iOS, Android, and the web. Sugarsync is nice, but not available on as many platforms. It's the reason I use it (Win, Linux, Blackberry).

Winbubble does all this too...if you already have it.

Didn't notice it since I use TabMix Plus (one of my must have addons) and it already has session restore built in.
