Makes you wonder who is going to own those emails... then again Google owns the internet, therefore owning Facebook therefore owning our lives already...

To add, this doesn't work well for laptop users who use a password, since it stops Windows from logging in and executing because of the user's password.

Logically, this makes so much sense, especially since we don't really spend so much time waiting for our computers to shut down versus when we boot em up. I imagine this could be had with a batch file, or maybe Task Scheduler, but this seems pretty simple. It would be better if there was a way to install a checkbox

@TheClap: I mis read it as well as that, hahaha.

Doesn't the indexing services stop when running on battery to save some cycles and hard drive reads? I'm assuming Windows Search feature is closely related to that. I use it quick a bit as a launcher, and like it, but I didn't think it made that much of an impact.

I feel that the iPad has all these potentials but just falls short. Hardware wise I love it for the most part, software wise I was hugely disappointed. Comparison to other products just didn't fly with me. Netbooks to me can do so much more, and are much more portable than the iPad having built in keyboards and all,

Sorry Apple, all that space, and you can still only put 4 icons per row? Maybe even per column with that spacing. iPhone OS just doesn't look right on this beast. It might have faired better with native OSX, but I think Apple went with iPhone OS solely because of the AppStore which means more revenue from it vs what

Other, I still prefer the simplicity and the neat layout of Windows Live Mail. It works just as well as Outlook for me just for mail. I like having offline access to all my email as well, and being able to manage multiple accounts. I know you can do this all in Gmail, but I never found Gmail as very elegant.

@ChargingPaladin: Took the question out of my mouth. I just got an Canon SX200 IS, noticed something weird about the picture quality, but couldn't but my finger on it, I'm now wondering if it's this. I wouldn't mind downscaling the MP to get a crisper picture, as long as it looks nice on standard printouts (3MP

@That-One-Person: Wish there was more support for Dvorak. I remember I took apart an old Compaq keyboard and changed the layout to lef handed Dvorak I believe. I think I still have that keyboard laying around somewhere with the layout still. I got up to about 30 wpm in a matter of minutes. Doesn't the fastest typist

@bartlebythe3rd: I still use TypingWeb as well when I first found it on Lifehacker. It's helped me improve my typing actually, and it isn't bland like some programs or other sites. It does have "socialness" to it as you see a leaderboard and stuff. I never paid the 5$ to use the service without ads (host file manages

I never used remember password option for almost anything. I also reccomend it to anyone I saw using it not to as well. The safest way I think is just to have a different password for anything, but realistically that might even lock yourself out, so I have passwords set up in "levels." For those really important

Honestly, I don't think there is any one best "DVD-Ripping" tool. These all have their advantages and disadvantages. Just for a straight rip DVDFab HD Decrypter is great, then throw in DVD Shrink to fit it on to a DVD5 works wonders. Then there's also DVD Decrypter which is great to use on your DVD ripped with DVD Fab

They could have sold more if they made it cheaper to get for all users, say around 30-70$ or so for the upgrade, then the standard upgrade (right now) prices for full versions, I'm sure even most Vista users would have jumped shipped, because I did since I could nab it for 30$ as a student, but if I couldn't Vista was

I was looking for something like this as a gadget for Vista or 7, but didn't find anything, so might try this one out. Doesn't OSX have this functionality already with Dashboard (I'm not sure don't have one, but I think I read about it).

I like. Hope it's priced well. Throw in an active digitizer and I'm sold.

I just tried this out last night using our new Canon SX200 IS with photo stich assistance. It worked so well compared to Canon's on included software.

To prevent myself from misfiring an email, I have unchecked the "Send Immediately" option in the Send tab of Windows Live Mail (use it to aggregate all my mail, and have offline copies when I don't have a connection). Not only does this help me prevent misfire, but it would allow me to edit the email in case I forgot

I didn't get a Black SOD, but a lot of Windows programs did reset (IE8, WMP, etc).

Just wanted to add to number 2. If you have a Synaptics Trackpad, try going into it's settings Control PanelMouseDevice SettingsSettings, then look under Tap Areas. You can set some nice shortcuts up here, such as mentioned, middle click, and other useful actions (remap Button 4 and 5 with Autohotkey you got some
