The only way this will work is if it goes "BING!" everytime you hit enter, then I'd use it just for kicks. No one would forget an annoying serach engine if it did that all the time.

Don't like Google because they never make these things desktop apps, which is how they do business though I guess.

Uh.... a very similar AHK trick was already featured on Lifehacker here: [lifehacker.com] , and when paired with this: [cybernetnews.com] makes a nice switcher for Windows. I reserve middle click + wheel down for flip 3D myself though with some tweaking. As mentioned in the previous AHK script, using Ctrl+Alt/Win+Tab

Know if Vista SP2 has this? Isn't vista SP2 suppose to come with new power management?

I'm not getting one, just can't afford these data plans and what not. I think the biggest downfall of this phone is the carrier. Sure Sprint in a major carrier, but compared to AT&T and Verizon right now, it really pales im comparison of customers I think. I don't remember anyone I've met within the last few years who

@whiteflea: Nope, three more people here. Myself, my girlfriend, and her mom.

@johnsmith1234: I used Windows Live Mail and have Gmail setup as IMAP, I just have it synchronize all the emails so I can even access it offline, which makes it nice, so when I do need the "almighty cloud" I could access my already organized mail. I'm not a fan of cloud services, but it is rather nice to have

Not here, been using Google Reader to find these things out.

Food. Freezer is invaluable to my lifestyle. Wholesale also is awesome to help with that. Pretty much anything on sale at Costco that i might be able to use, I'd stock up on.

Wait... Macs need maintanence at some point too? But Apple told me they didn't!

At home, we have a landline because of home security and for the sake of having a more efficient 911. It's for safety if anything were to happen really. I guess not many people do home security anymore either?

What about Windows Live Writer? I know it's configurable for many blogs already out there, I've tried it myself, it was alright, but some people think it's a worthy tool.

Anyone else notice the Internet Explorer Processes running totaling to like 23MB vs Firefox's 28MB? Not saying that IE doesn't get bloated at some point, but that's kind of funny when you' tout low memory usage, and the other competition is in the same picture with lower.

"XP Mode is an entirely useful feature, and could really come in handy for applications that don't work in Windows 7 (or Vista)."

Is there a Google Reader notification that works with Vista x64. All I could find is an old one that doesn't work anymore (found on here).

I'll download it, but I'm probably not going to use it really. Maybe install it to see how it is (did with the first beta, wasn't super impressed really). Still happy with Vista so far. Maybe the next version of Windows will be a real upgrade from Vista.

@ngetchell: Was thinking because of that, most of these things are from web browsing and what not. Since in Europe Microsoft isn't bundling anything anymore with their OS, doesn't that make them the most secure now in a sense? Lol.

I remember the first time I ever got hit by Malware was after reformating WinXP. I was one of those that beleived safe surfing habits was safe enough, I was pretty computer literate at the time, then as I was running Windows Update after a new install, I got this counter that said my computer would restart. Yeah, I

Doesn't all that extra stuff kinda use a lot more resources than just botting natively into a bloatfree WinXP install? Probably would look better on Vista/Win7 for the icons though. But, thinking about how much longer that would take the netbook to boot, kinda baffles me.
