@BlueLightBandit: But, he won't. It's always a problem unless the benefits are directly helping them. Then, it's A-OK!

@eviladrian: Reading your fiction books again?

@sub150: Or, the county could have passed the proposed .13 cent property tax increase that could've covered the fire department costs and avoided this completely.

@HaloZero: "2) Well... nobody said firefighters were a constitutional right or guaranteed service. They chose not to pay and this is what happens"

You know who loved this? Glenn Beck. He said that we "have to have this happen" so we can have some asinine discussion about something and so that you don't "leach" off of your neighbor's resources. And, his producer mocked the owner of the home. Go, Right Wing Fuckwits.

@SkipErnst: To some degree, I agree with you. Can't please everyone all the time, obviously. But, they do tend to politicize every little thing even when, behind closed doors, they probably don't see much wrong with whatever they're railing against in front of the cameras. If these people had spines and integrity,

@SkipErnst: But it sure was awesome, wasn't it?!

@Toastie: I think the point he was making was more along the lines of, "Oh, hey, this bill passed with flying colors while the Republicans lagged for months on healthcare for first responders to the 9/11 disaster (The New Republican Christmas/Political Hard-On) while doing so against some fake 'gov't reckless

@2 replies: Hey, look, the point is way over there! You missed it.

@toxic: Frustrating, right? I use my Win version for pivot tables and macros and such. Other basic spreadsheeting is done with the Excel:Mac. I don't mind them, but, I've used a beta of 2011, and even that early beta was kicking ass and taking names.

@blueninja: Office: Mac Excel could never hold a candle to the Win version. Not by a longshot. And, this is coming from a Mac user. It's almost like they never tried and until the latest update, 12.2.5 or whatever, performance was laughable.

@MagicalTrev: Excellent use of footnoting your story.

Ha...actually, a friend of mine had this happen to her. Her boyfriend went over to "get his hat" from his gal pal's place. Guess they were messing around and his phone called her since she was the last person he'd called. Not sure what she heard, but, it was enough to end the relationship. Sucks, but, kinda funny at

@bainelaker: haha, true. I like how at the art walk there's just one giant parking lot of food trucks now.

@FluxDecapitator: I have a star on Gawker. Not here though...I don't have the power. : (

@TheMightyTexMex: iOS for me. The limit seemed to go into effect when the OS was still at 3.13. They introduced a paid version (4.99) and not long after, they implemented the limit.
