You don’t have to be fired to have a discrimination case. She can sue for not being renewed the same way someone can file a discrimination suit if they believe not getting hired in the first place was due to discrimination.

She won’t win. The biggest question in this lawsuit isn’t whether Disney will win (they will), but whether her claims can even survive past the motion to dismiss stage. They are that bad.
This is absurd for so many levels. Not only does she not have a “protected class” case, they didn’t fire her. She was a guest star, there was no contract or anything. They simply wished to quit using the Cara Dune character due to her own actions. They didn’t even cast someone else in the role!
