Didn’t Watch Secret Invasion?
I think it would have been great if every slide ended with the description “and it’s pretty inconsequential.”
He should sue them for false imprisonment. How exactly is he REQUIRED to go all the way to NYC? They may not like it, but how could this be illegal? If I don’t like the movie, I leave. Same thing. Just another reason to TAKE THE TRAIN...
I thought the exact same thing. I rode a bike and took public transportation before buying my first “nice” car at the age of 25 which cost a whopping $26K on the street.
Well that’s entirely accurate & reasonable but also would have been an article that wouldn’t have generated hundreds of comments slamming it.
What even is this comment? New gas cars aren’t expensive? Interest rates are somehow higher on EVs? This is just a total g-d mess of an argument.
I admit I jumped around in my chair with excitement while watching that...and let the speculation begin on what “minus one” might mean...
It’s telling that the Bolts, two pretty bare-bones EVs in the grand scheme of things, are not on this list. Maybe, just maybe... consumers are price sensitive and in addition to not being able to afford a house nor college anymore, they’re sick of trying to pay for expensive cars.
Disney executive #1: “Here’s this $50 million, straight-to-streaming kids movie about astronauts. It releases on Disney+ in a couple of months.”
Budweiser hanging her out to dry didn’t help their bottom line. It also gets to her point about abandoning a trans person being worse than not hiring one at all; that holds business-wise as well as morality-wise….if they’d stuck with her they *might* have had a chance of at least picking up some business from people…
Hello, Person Who For Some Inexplicable Reason Decided To Register An Account Just For That: It was a tragedy, objectively.
Genuine question - is everything OK? It’s just that this seems a disproportionate reaction to seeing an article on the casting for a comic film on a site that specialises in nerdy news of exactly this type.
A childish rant telling other people to grow up. Classic internet.
I feel compelled to direct you to this absurdly prescient tweet from 2020:
I had to scroll down this far to see this.
The absurd height of new trucks is the exact reason I just keep plugging along with my 1995 Chevy 2WD. It’s just the right height for loading and unloading. Actually, my old 84 S-10 was the perfect height, but it’s bed was too narrow to haul a full 4X8 sheet of material flat on the bed floor.
Do people haul anything in them other than golf or hockey bags? The bed length shortening may be an even worse problem. People need to show off their fragile petro-masculinity with giant trucks that are part of the maga uniform.
My best friend had a brand new 1987 Mazda B2000 back in 1986, when he moved into his first apartment. His mom gave him their old giant sleeper sofa. F*ck if that thing wasn’t the heaviest thing on that planet that year.
