The ads are nothing new. They've been around for years. They're actually smaller, less obtrusive & easier to avoid entirely with the new dashboard.

I'd say that pulling a user base as large as craigslist or freecycle will be a difficult thing to achieve. The interface is nice and clean, which is a nice change from freecycle's message board system. I love the concept, but the users will definitely make or break this site.
