Most of the cities in Texas have areas with tiny houses on large plots of old fenced ranch land. It’s a weird cultural thing, where you’ve got areas within the city limits of Austin, Waco, Ft. Worth, Dallas, where you still have old guys herding cattle.

Brookline’s actually not lily white anymore. It’s probably 30% Asian at this point- Japanese, Chinese, Indian. That said, yeah, there are very few blacks and Latinos in the town.

Not so simple. Many immigrants from Russia, for example, saw the excesses of communism and are genuinely afraid that the Democratic Party could drift way too far to the left. A bit overblown, perhaps, given that Clinton’s policies are pretty centrist, but understandable.
