Wiping down after you cook is an extremely good way to de-scent from cooking. The oils left near the burner, on top of the burner, and sometimes on the ceiling/cabinet walls is key. Also, baking something in the oven right after should mask some of the smells too like for example, a sheet of cookies.

@Todd M. Beedy: If I was in college again I would take notes with a pen and paper. I tend to remember what I write better than what I type. Usually if I write something it's "IN". I have to do a lot of reviewing and studying if I just type.

@Todd M. Beedy: Engineering classes are a complete disaster without writing diagrams and formulae out.

@Todd M. Beedy: Unless you're crazy speedy with formula editors typing becomes an issue in math and chemistry classes.
