The literal definition of “tent city” means there’s shelter, numb nuts.
You’re not very smart, are you?
Uh, no he died of pneumonia he contracted long before he even got in to the country.
Viral pneumonia is incurable, if your immune system can’t fight it off by itself you’re toast - hence why the elderly tend to die from it. If Levaquin won’t kill it you’re pretty much up shit creek.
The incubation period for pneumonia averages 1-4 weeks, which means he was already dead long before he got over the border. Moron.
The thing about this, we all got away with seriously dumb shit. However that does not mean we behaved poorly at jobs WE WERE PAID TO DO. I was certainly a pain in the ass in doing things for my parents and shit when I was young, and got nothing out of it. But when you’re getting paid to do something, you put your…
And that’s fine! There’s nothing wrong with that! It’s not hard to tell if a person isn’t interested in engaging while you’re working, but that doesn’t mean it’s not part of the employee’s job to try. Usually they should be able to tell if you’re not in to it.
In that same vein, obnoxious people is not a new thing.
Aside from a grocery store cashier who has to scan stuff and make sure it’s ringing correctly, I don’t see how you don’t look at the customer when checking them out - isn’t it kind of weird to speak to someone without even looking at them? When I was working customer service many years ago, I used to lean on the…
I don’t think I ever said “Thank you,” to customers but I did always say “have a good day” or “have a good one.” Except for the one guy who came up and immediately started cursing at me, I don’t think I even bothered because I figured he’d tell me to go fuck myself.
I hate firing people, like avoid it at all costs...But I really would’ve loved to be that owner.
Is it me or do you need at least a few firing neurons to understand that “ageism” only applies to the job market and is 70% due to people with more experience wanting higher salaries, and 30% worry that the person will retire and leave you back interviewing people again in a few years? And better yet, somehow their…
AFTER TAKING THEIR MONEY! Don’t forget that part.
I can agree with most of this, but I’d hardly call being a flight attendant a “sucky job.”
Now THAT is great way to make people happy about flying. Which reminds me, I once got a free meal at McDonald’s because it was some sort of “Lovin It” day or something, all I had to do was dance at the register. So now whoever watches that security footage knows I am fully willing to dance poorly for a free lunch.
Being angry at DMV workers is almost obligatory, because they are both generally incredibly unpleasant and usually kind of inept at their jobs...Except for one woman ONE time, who was a total saint and should have immediately been promoted for actually making me happy at the DMV, a nigh-impossible achievement.
With all the calls for silencing opinions in certain places and political discourse these days, the days of the gulags don’t seem so far behind, right? And honestly, if the flight attendant was also having a bad day she could’ve joked with him and said something like “I wish. Maybe I could get one too.” Be miserable…
How DARE you want what you paid for?! YOU WILL GET NOTHING AND LIKE IT!
Lowly workie? It’s called professionalism you indignant clown. Most people have worked some kind of customer facing position in their lives, and regardless of how they felt, they know part of the job is not acting like a whiny precious douchebag when you’re on the clock.
