You are actually worse than the people who like big lifted trucks....your the type to put others down for what they want because it doesnt align with what you want....and your making a lot of assumptions about people who have lifted trucks.

I swear, half the commenters on Jalopnik haven’t got a fucking clue about the automotive world. Truck buyers are definitely moving to fuel economy, and GM was wise to move that way.
Lot’s of “internet knowledge”and word of mouth - probably spends too much time on 4chan. A VERY small minority of these trucks get sold to those people described. Most just want a reliable vehicle that can tow and haul stuff in the bed.
IDK where you live but around here ~90% of full size trucks are stock.
Bye bye Miss American Pie drove my Ford to the Fjord but the Fjord was dry.
Anecdotal as I drive a ‘16 Sierra, but I think 18 MPG from a 5500 lbs. v8 equipped truck is decent. I won’t argue that the smaller engines are just as capable 99% of the time, self included. But given the choice between a new truck with a more efficient engine and mine, I’ll continue to hold until they make a hybrid…
Occasional trips to Home Depot do not require 900lb/ft of torque, and the gas trucks look just as tough in the mall parking lot as the diesel ones do.
I just purchased a 2019 F150 Diesel and I love it. I use it as my daily family vehicle and it is a backup for my husband’s work truck which is a 2018 F250. It actually gets way better gas mileage than the crossover I traded in.
It really does not make sense in Ford’s lineup since they have gas engines that are comparible; the 3.5L tows more and the 2.7L get nearly the same fuel economy, and both are cheaper.
I have 5. I told my mom a while back that I will have to make a million dollars over the next 10 years to cover it.
These gender reveal parties are getting out of hand.
They’re in Utah, those are normal names there.
There’s absolutely no way that’s accurate.
The one member of the family that has to be a parasite in order to contribute.
I wonder who will be whining and crying louder?
Nah, Elf Camino ;)
I hope a smaller sized electric pick-up is on the drawing boards for these guys. Who wouldn’t want an old school S-10 sized EV truck? Good for those Home Depot runs and at a hopefully lower price point.
Can confirm.
This applies to shade tree auto repair, as well. Every. Single. Time.
Save it for when they’re in their late 20s and disenchanted with the way their life is heading. They’ll appreciate the book more than when they’re dumbass 18 year olds wanting to see high school in the rear view mirror.
