You are missing my point (and being kind of a d-bag for some reason). The BBC is letting a scheduling conflict tank half a season of one of its most popular shows. US broadcasters would NEVER do that. They'd move the slot but not tank the season. But the BBC has no real incentive to maximize viewership.

No way. US broadcasters might make a slot change, but they absolutely wouldn't lose a season of a really popular show. The BBC doesn't give a rat's ass because its revenue won't be affected by the loss of a part of a TG season.

I am not for a moment putting US TV media companies on a pedestal, but bullshit decision making like this is only possible with a public-private disaster like the BBC.

That is an amazing piece of review history. I love the backhanded treatment of the Ferrari ("scores decisive advantages in every dynamic category except performance").

Hopkirk in Monte Carlo?

Hilarious list. I do not want a Mondial, though. What a terrible car. I don't care what Montoya says, I'd much rather have a 360.

3rd gear: What's weird about that? It's clearly an MCA tribute.

They're the world record holders at boring me to tears. Quick! Someone induct them into the Things That Suck Hall of Fame.

and Acura NSX destroyed

Sacrilarious.

"They were strapped down with one of those straps you crank on a semi to hold down lumber. They were strapped with that thing, wiggling and wobbling down the street,"

And he stole it from economics professors who have been saying the same thing since the '60s.

The spike-in-the-steering-wheel proposition.

This may be the greatest AOTD in history.

Was that Bloomberg article on Lexus translated from Japanese? So hard to read and so little information.

Just pulled the top off my '78 Scout yesterday, which was just stripped and painted a year ago. Yes, I saw rust on the driver's rear corner of the top. WTF? How does that happen?

Holy crap, the internet says that there was an '81 SE with leather, too.

None of that rage is likely to have a real impact on this case.

There's a super rare SE version of the previous gen Accord, also, but I think it was offered in both '88 and '89. 1st Honda with leather seats.
