I mean, some people move faster than others. It doesn’t mean that one is right and one is wrong.

This made me snort
Those states are some of the poorest because of what happened after the civil war during reconstruction. They could easily remedy that in the alternate history.
Fun fact: Thomas Jefferson, despite being a slate owner, tried to come up with a way to end the practice of slavery. He worried though that the whites wouldn’t see the former slaves as equals and those freed wouldn’t be allowed to live as equals here’s in America. One of the ideas he considered was the creation of a…
“States where minorities are imprisoned at a higher level for offenses related to the drug would be penalized, and lose federal money for the construction of prisons.”
Do you think he did? Do you think the majority of the service men and women give a shit about trans military personnel?
Normally I’m pretty good at numbing myself out to his bullshit. I live in a state of detachment, pretending I”m reading a history book fifty years from now about the moment that changed america forever.
And how can the minority party do any of that without agreement from across the aisle?
I think that switch may have been made when children became more of a choice. Oh, and less likely to die before their fifth birthday.
Pretty sure children were property before the exportation of slavery to this country.
I sometimes find myself thinking that I’d rather be able to go to a work house, or serve a short time in jail than be stuck under the weight of student debt for the rest of my life. Conditions were awful, of course, but at least there was a system in which you could discharge debt and start over. I can’t even move a…
What if McCain voted yes initially so that it would come to a vote that would then be defeated, and Ryan, McConnell and Trump were all humiliated?
I understand and agree with your point. But I still don’t see a lot of (legal) premeditation here. Don’t get me wrong, this dude deserves to go to jail, but the premeditation matters a lot.
Oh I missed the part where you were the surrogate’s doctor. My bad.
With the facts as they’re given here, it sounds more like they got into an argument and he flew into a rage. She died of a head wound, so I’d guess he slammed her into something. It doesn’t really look like premeditation
Pregnancy and childbirth are only brutal and potentially deadly for some, like Kim Kardashian. Which is why she’s paying a surrogate, one who has been screened and for whom pregnancy will NOT be brutal, to carry her child for her.
“And I don’t care what your friend tells you. I would literally bet my life that sometimes, secretly, she wonders if her daughter/son is safe.”
And I had a friend who DID sell her eggs, saved the money and used it as a down payment for her home. What makes you so uniquely qualified to make decisions about other women and what they do with their bodies?
This isn’t a handmaiden situation here dude. A woman knowingly and voluntarily consented to carry their child for a fee. A few which is set by the laws of this state. Why shouldn’t they be allowed to have another child this way?
What I thought odd is that the agency gets more than the surrogate!
