"fascist? yes, i am a fascist, you could say I'm the most fashionable person to ever grace the White House. I've got great suits, the best suits, you'll never believe how much this tie costs…"

I almost wish that Fuller wouldn't have gotten as close to a Clarice analogue as he did with Miriam Lass, but he's more than capable of still doing something unique and fresh with the Clarice character

and naturally, the CEO happens to be a black man.

Of course he isn't, and why would he even bother trying? He's already gotten this far openly being as shitty of a human being as possible

Maybe if we lived in a vacuum in which our society didn't have a long and terrible history of racial violence (whites against pretty much everyone else, for the sake of power and control), then aggressively attacking 'fringe groups' like neo-nazis would just be a shallow exercise. But hey, we don't have the luxury of

But it is! You didn't get the memo that ALL cats are the prettiest and smartest kitties out there?

By that logic, Obama should have become a Muslim Antichrist by now, but here we are… stuck with a White Supremacist Antichrist in the white house instead

I hope you're preaching that to neo-nazis who kill people with their fucking car, because they're the ones who need to hear a patronizing talk about compromise right now. But nah, you're placing the burden of 'making peace' on the people who are being violently and aggressively targeted, as though it's their job to

Fuck this cowardly piece of shit, fuck his pathetic supporters, and fuck everything they collectively stand for

Boy, did this album cover scare the shit out of me as a youngster. Great song though

This is by far the worst thing AVClub has ever posted

we had the exact same reaction to this, cheers

Tried reading a few sentences of this and my eyes just glazed over immediately, I can't do it

I dig the pacing of the song and the video is pretty cool, but it starts getting repetitive towards the end. Also, I REALLY don't like Julian Casablancas' vocals, they don't add anything worthwhile to the song at all

The opening of that third paragraph might be the most creativity anyone has put into saying "Andrew Jackson lookalike", bravo

That song meanders on for a minute or two longer than it needs to, could have been a real kickass track if they trimmed it down

Ronson is great at what he does and I love that QOTSA chose him for this record, it ain't bad to push out of your comfort zone once in a while.

The album leaked a few days ago, has anyone here listened to it already? If so, how is Jon Theodore's drumming? I haven't listened extensively to either single yet but it seems like his playing is a bit modest and more song-serving than flashy.

I desperately wanted to watch that series as a kid, but was never able to catch even a single episode of it for reasons I can't recall
