I need a victim before I can make any assumptions.

This line “When things like the Harvey Weinstein stuff comes out it makes me think about it,” just really got to me. It’s so true, sometimes we bury things as no big deal, and time and circumstance forces us to readdress things. This recently happened to me, when my boyfriend and I were on a break, one of his friends

“Maybe the next time someone expresses disappointment over a person’s comedic performance, we don’t suddenly dismiss it as being overly-sensitive or too PC.”

Exactly. It’s the third-party method of “I wasn’t being an asshole, you just don’t have a sense of humor [when I said those assholish things].”

I agree- something about him has always seemed off to me. Even when I found myself laughing at one of his jokes, I would somehow feel gross because of it. I’m beginning to see that this “seems off” thing is common among men who use feminism as a smokescreen for their abusive behavior.

He always struck me as a gross comedian with strong misogynistic undertones in his performance but so many liberal guys I know loved him. He sounds so much like Adam Carolla or Bill Burr but because he has all the right politics, he’s fine I guess?

There are a lot of comedians/actors I really like who are closely associated with him. I read in the article that Amy Poehler and Aziz Ansari are both represented by his manager. I wonder if either of them will do or say something about all of this.

Fuck. I have been such a huge fan of so much of his work. It really bums me out and pisses me off that he’s one of them, too.

Oh we have NOT hit rock bottom and MY GOD I hope it keeps coming (Men are soooo emotional!)

I just read that. I’m simultaneously repelled at Moore’s behavior, impressed with how carefully the Post reported their sourcing and interviewing history, hopeful that people will broadly reject him, and concerned that we’re going to spend the next few weeks reading MRA accounts of how it’s perfectly natural for adult

Anna, we know you’ve been working on this story for fucking ages and even through the NYTimes is breaking it, I’m sure your diligence and professionalism laid the groundwork. Just know that we see you and appreciate you.

Yeah, as if the NYT didn’t call his camp for comment ahead of publication. They know exactly what it’s about.

in case the story is “damaging,”

I remember on Mad Men where Betty’s father mistook her for her mother and grabbed her breast. The shock and nausea in the room was palpable and they had to just shrug it off...

“This is exactly what I want to fight against,” the 28-year-old said after slapping him across the face.

I hate MLMs so much. After sitting through some weird ass dinners and coffee dates, I finally have the coded language they use to talk about their “side hustle” down, and know who to avoid.
This particular one is more baffling than usual, because what adult is looking at those leggings and deciding they want a pair?

My friend was a consultant. When she went out of business she was trying to give me... GIVE ME... leggings. As in for fucking free. And I was just like nah. When she had first started I had bought one super cute pair from her (they had little ducks on them but kind of looked like paint splatter from far away) and they

You’re a great friend! I’m sure you saved her so much trouble and money.

I helped a friend with her books while she was deep into this garbage. It was a complete shit show. She barely broke even each month and did a TON of events. Not only do they operate a pyramid scheme, but they do it poorly. They completely missed the boat on sales tax nexus and how it affects their consultants. We

Why is this so juicy??? I could read about this “scandal” forever.

“They haven’t looked at who we are because we sell product through to a consumer, and it’s highly-desirable product. That is not a pyramid scheme.”
