At a certain point, “owning” your dickish behavior stops being charming and just becomes a sneering admission that you don’t intend to change and you don’t give a fuck about anyone but yourself.

I think he was completely burned out when he left.

Every time I think about Connor I crack up because of his eulogy for (Mo)Lester where he refuses to commit to anything beyond “Lester was a man, and now he has died.”

In season 1 I hated Tom with an intensity that disturbed me, given that I was watching a scripted TV show.

Logan is the biggest monster, but Shiv is the worst character. She’s like Peggy Hill in her misplaced arrogance. In season 1 she seems like she could be the most capable, but she’s done less than anyone else and yet seems adamant that she deserves more.

I have a hard time believing Roman is less despicable than Shiv, Kendall, and Connor. Remember, he spent a lot of season 3 cozying up to Nazis and bullying his suicidal brother. Also, he’s played by Kieran Culkin, not Rory Culkin.

You shouldn’t think of gay people as “woke stuff”. You should think of gay people as people. I don’t go complaining about all the hetero-ass kissing I see when “the guy gets the girl” at the end. Go fuck yourself.

No no don’t you understand. All the resources usually reserved for making a movie good gets used up making a character not a white straight guy. So you have to choose between good movie or fORcEd DIvERSIty.

So if they had changed one of the relevant female characters to male, everything would’ve been hunky-dory?

The film feels more like a contemporary reboot of the film Andy watched in the 90s. Complete with unnecessarily convoluted revamp of the villain’s origins and way too serious treatment of a kid’s entertainment property. Your Lost In Space remake comparison is apt.

Oh noz did they put a black person in it

I mean, did you see the uproar over the movie because two female characters briefly kissed on screen... people are that dumb.

I can't wait for the eventual people proactively saying Avatar 2 had no cultural impact and Avatar 3 will surely fail.  Yep... I'm not assuming that this time.  I learned my lesson.

I don’t like the idea of editing books without the author’s permission, but there is some precedent for this — in his own lifetime, Dahl revised the Oompa-Loompas from being African pygmies to more generic fantasy tribal people (perhaps still problematic but less so).

you people are so goddamn stupid it’s stunning

I’m vaxxed and I’m fine. Quit being a baby.

“What we know now?”

Hey now! Kevin McHale wouldn’t have played a kid in a wheelchair on Glee if he knew “what we know know”. This is a joke because we know everything we knew then now and I’m making the comparison to what you just said.

I’m not insulting you with this snark I’m insulting Evangeline Lily* Even two years ago any sane person

I didn’t think Keith tried to kill Davis with his sabotage; I think he just wanted to win the race. He didn’t mess with the seat belt, which Davis did, knowing that the inevitable crash would have greater injury on the driver. By killing Katy and using Charlie to get Keith, Davis knocks out both father and daughter

I’m glad it’s more of a case of the week show, not everything has to be serialized. The only reason I’m okay with the whole Frost Casino thing running through the series is that it gives Charlie a reason to be travelling from town to town and getting small jobs along the way, and that seems to be the way the show
