Same with Alpha 3, which has at least three distinct versions (the arcade, the home console port which adds a bunch of new characters and stages, and Alpha 3 Max, which adds even more and rebalances everyone.)

Agreed, it’s almost tantamount to just making SF2 one entry.

GOD, Monster Hunter: Bleach would be the sickest fucking thing ever. 4 player co-op, all playing as low-level soul reapers tracking Hollow across Karakura setting traps and preparing kido and stuff. You could have customizeable Shikai/Bankai and everything.

This is a very basic take.
VII is not number 1 by any stretch and I loved that game growing up.
XV should be higher than XII and XII-2
X and X-2 should be switched. Hell, X should be in the top 3.
VII should not be higher than VIII or IX--both were better.

What’s crazy is it’s not like the workload drops with single coverage. It’s still the same amount of shipment and pointless task to be done.

I think the problem seems to be that companies stepped away from dedicated servers. I’m not sure what it takes for companies to allow them in their games, but I imagine not much?
