As someone who lives in a city with 24/7 train service, it does not deter people from renting and buying vehicles to get around

They know that the community will end up implementing all of that stuff themselves

It’s funny that everyone praises roll back netcode since its “new,” but everyone seems to forget that GGPO introduced rollback netcode into games way back in ‘06 and found its way into some capcom hd/online remakes as early as 2011

We’re slowly returning to the days when games were mostly 70+.  Just means more games to skip out on as most haven’t been worth it as of late

Having launched the pc version not to long ago, I wish this had a simpler way to play multiplayer

It gets even worse than that. What if someone hasn’t updated their console, say their a new ps4 or used one that hasn’t been updated in a long time and tried to play a newer game on that firmware and the game isn’t recognized? Or what if the game doesn’t launch because it requires the day one patch and its something…

I always wondered if things like this would affect firmware update and game updates. I know we’re reaching a point where a lot of games aren’t entirely on disc and these servers wont be up forever. How will it affect game collecting?
