This worked during the SOPA fight a few years ago. Our senior senator Ron Wyden was one of the leaders for Net Neutrality, so I sent tons of emails to the Democratic junior senator, who was apparently on the fence about it. Thanks to hearing from Oregonians he helped to defeat SOPA.

I fucking love Popovich.

Since now we don’t have to worry about offending those people as votes have been cast, in addition to having some solid concrete evidence now, we can safely say those fucking idiots were fucking idiots. The “they’re both bad” philosophy was probably the most uninformed and nonsensical position one could have taken

We fucking said no matter what you feel about Hillary, everything must be done to keep Trump from being elected because he was that bad. And what did we hear?

Good on the NBA. In the NFL, Maker and Deng would probably just get cut for being a “distraction.”

That’s an only orthogonally related question. Yes, working for free may be a smart career move for an individual. But a business should still pay the people who do work for it. And a(n ostensible) journalist should not encourage businesses to exploit free labor instead of hiring people and paying them for their work.

“I don’t care what the numbers say, he plays well” is not a very convincing argument, my man! The numbers in question generally do a pretty good job, believe it or not.

Not only have I written many articles I wasn’t paid to write, it’s fair to say I owe my career to unpaid internships. But I still believe they’re wrong, discriminatory and should be purged from the media industry.

No, I’m saying that it’s gross for a nominal journalist to suggest that a business should exploit free labor instead of paying for it.

I take it back, you could easily be a sports columnist with those burns.

If you were doing the job for free in college, why would someone pay you to do it later?

What a piece of shit. You know what working for free gets you? People thinking you’ll work for free. You know how many paying gigs you get working for free? None.

Why? Why would I pay you even a measly sum to do a good job when I know you’ll do it for free in the hopes that someday I might pay you. Then, once

Don’t worry, I don’t think anyone is going to be asking you to write for them.

You’re my fact checkin’ cuz.

Please tell me your user name is a Pavement reference.

BUT ANTHONY DAVIS IS GOOD THO. AND I HATE MATH.

Funny. I actually imagine an opposite scenario, in which everything falls apart and the Celtics regret acquiring Boogie.

“Shit, try running through Cleveland for eternity.”

Not wanting to show up for Atlanta regular season games means he’s an Atlanta fan at heart
