I’m not a truck owner myself, as a matter of fact, I never even consider them an option...until I got one (on a road trip whim) as a rental, so I guess I sort of understand. Maybe cars should up their interior game, because some trucks are visually inviting and more comforting ergonomically wise to me, not to mention

I suppose that he did get my click and my comment, so that’s something.

If you have room, why not? Trucks are the new full sized cars. Instead of people buying Chevy Caprices, they’re buying Silverados. Ironically, the Silverado is going to get WAY better mileage, not fart nearly the carbon, and probably handle better.  Have you sat in the new Ram?  That thing is probably the best cruiser

Why does Jalopnik hate trucks? I’ve never understood it.

Seriously, do you live under a rock? I cannot fathom how thick headed someone must be to not understand these numbers. Let’s look at this:

This explains all you need to know about the author and why they took this position..... “News Editor at Jalopnik. 2008 Honda Fit Sport.”

Oh, look. A shitty New Yorker having stupid opinions about things that he has no actual knowledge about. What a surprise.

Shilling, journalist? HA!

Why do your headlines keep saying “you people” this and “you people” that? Are you not a person, or do you not feel like you are one of your readers? Are you better than us?  If you cannot relate to your readers, wtf are you doing writing for this site?

I think every time Jalopnik publishes trash like this, I’ll go out and buy another truck.

I’m really only here for the David Tracey, Andrew Collins, and Tom McParland articles. Every time I go back to reading a Shilling or Brownell article it’s the same shitty takes regurgitated over and over again. Even when I actually agree with them their schtick is so painful to read.

No, he’s more of a weasel person.

You’re a bad journalist

Trucks are like dogs. And Erik is, apparently, a cat person.

This will be my last article written by Eric I’ll click on. Guy is a tool. Getting to the point that only Tom is worth the read

Makes sense to me, trucks have the most utility of any vehicle on the road and the highest retained value/resale historically regardless of fuel prices.

Nevermind the truck thing, let's discuss why you think that including"You people" in your headlines is a good idea.

How is it “sub-standard”? It had the legally required equipment. By definition, it met the standard.

He’s not the hero we deserve, but he’s the hero we need.
