Eating sand...........YUM!
To you good folks in the States, the Mustang can be had as an entry level car up to road-melting goodness. You can buy the base convertible version for your college-age daughter or, once you’ve ditched that no-good cheating husband, you can use the settlement to buy a Shelby and go full-on Thelma and Louise. Or track…
Payback for that bullshit diet-version E36 M3 we got.
Case in point - buy a CPO car, has extended warranty plus remainder of existing warranty.
I expected to see some carnage...and sadly there was none to be had. Only a dude with massive balls of steel having the ride of his life.
Say what you want about homeboy’s complete lack of basic self-preservation instincts, but he fucking stuck that landing.
You don’t need to be able to drive stick for it to sit in a climate controlled garage and appreciate in value.
“In the year 2016, oil prices went up to $400/barrel and passenger rail has become the dominant means of travel”
*shrug*
I drive my Cayman S about 10-12,000 miles a year. Have driven it up to 600 miles in one sitting. Have owned it for almost 3 years and 33,000 miles.
I love the Cayman, but passed on a couple. I’m curious, do you use it as a weekend car or daily driver?
Nah - I bought my 06 S for $25k with 65k miles, have put another 20k on it in 3 years and haven’t had to do pay anyone to do anything other than the water pump (plastic impeller). O2 sensor, plugs, oil change, headliner were all easy to do in my driveway with just basic tools. Nothing has the build quality of this…
A Carrera 4S with PDK was actually my “Reasonably Attainable Dream Car”, for eons, but after driving one, I was left feeling numb.
After buying a nice $10k example, he’ll have plenty left over for timing belts, head gaskets, wheel bearings, ref sensors, fuel pumps, CV-bolts, clutch master cylinders, distributors, and rod bearings!
M3 was about a half second slower after about 3 laps each, then viscous coupling failure on the M3, one more lap in the Civic and he shaved a second off his best time, putting the M3 at 1.5 secs slower, on a 35-37 second avg lap.
Ahh, that’s different then. To watch this short video, you clearly have to quit your job.
The E92 M3 and 335is have the DCT. E36 had SMG I; E46 SMG II.
Really Jalopnik...
lol, all Jalopnik needs to do now is write how “muscular” Hillary is.
