I was initially looking for a 997 S. Then I test drove a Cayman S (never drove it or a Boxster before). It was an auto but it was still awesome. It drove just like everyone says they do. It was at least $10k cheaper than a 997 S so I got that instead. I’ve had it for a little over a year now and it still brings smiles.

Most Americans over 35 probably know how. They stopped requiring manual trans drivers training in the late 90's I think. According to the following survey, it’s 59% that know how to drive a manual. Not sure how accurate it is. Baby Boomers still make up a significant part of the population so it could be.

Who knew? Thanks for the info.

Those are that cheap now?

Where do you live? I know a dealer that would’ve gotten you one.

LMAO!

Here’s some inspiration:

I own a 987 Cayman S. Drove a 996 a few years ago. I can get over the exterior but the interior is just awful (but some don’t mind it...don’t let me or anyone sway you on this). It drove great! Well enough, IMO, to make you forget about how it looks. BTW, normal people don’t think the 996's are ugly. I think the ride

Well you taught me something new. I had no idea. I’m actually going to bookmark that.

Dude, $9500 ain’t that much. Save up longer.

This.

Regardless if they’re loved or not, these still drive great and are worth $9500 plus depending on mileage and condition. No way this car is worth $3 or $4k because someone, who isn’t going to buy one anyways, says it is.

LOL

Seems as CP

Never going to find a 911 that cheap.

The turbo Cobalt SS was considered the best handling FWD car at the time by Car and Driver with a pretty kick ass lap time on their Lightning Lap too.

“Ropey shifts not at all helped by having to reach into the glovebox for fifth.”

I like the CR-V.

No.

To a normal person, an Aston Martin is definitely a “look at me” car.
