Agreed, the same conversation happens with the NFL about celebrating touchdowns too much. Unless it delays the game, people should calm down and get a grip.
It’s funny to see how those who don’t go to these things feel the need to police how others should act outside of their homes, while they are at home.

FF14 isn’t even remotely close to being the same game as FF11. It’s faster, more reactive, and (unless you’re into doing the highest tiers of difficulty) can be played in small doses.

I feel like the weapon breaking system was full on detrimental.

Might be on the bad side of this opinion but hopefully the sequel is a little more forgiving on the weapon/shield breaking stuff. I’m not saying get rid of it entirely but maybe have weapons/shields take a few more hits before breaking or have a way of repairing stuff.

Back on OG Battlefront and its myriad mods, I installed one that made most blasters kill you with one or two hits if you weren’t at extreme range. That changed the *whole* game, but boy was it fun. Made every popout from cover terrifying, since even a stray bolt could take your name.

Exactly. This is a thing with weapons in general in games. Swords, axes, guns, etc. in real life are designed to do OHKOs at best, serious crippling at worst. But if that’s a gameplay mechanic games would be way too easy offensively and way too hard defensively.
