I don’t remember that interview, but that is the series that really made me solidify my own head canon, so that’s actually pretty funny. Given the amount of useless video game media, and coverage I follow, I wouldn’t be shocked if that did influence me, but I forgot the interview, and not the lesson itself.

To be fair, I feel the same way about guns and bullets. I have to pretend that the screen getting redder, and redder are the near misses actually getting closer until I’m actually hit. Not that, you know, I can tank 43 gunshot wounds if I just wait a few seconds between shots.

I still like Yuna more, but yeah, Lightning is fun!

I had a tough time getting into XIII-2 because of the character shifts. I wanted my girl Claire!

Yeah, drawing, and VIII in general is my least favorite, which made the Square conference hurt a lot.

“New Final Fantasy?!?!”
Liberi Fatali kicks in.
“Wait... no...”

Maybe they’re waiting for Square’s lawyers to get off the phone for using the Final Fantasy font.

I’ve lived in SF for close to a decade, marched in the parade multiple years, and can barely stand it anymore. If I see one more god damn rainbow corporate logo...

Huh, I know that’s why certain anime have a gray/ dark filter put over fight, or otherwise flashy scenes, but I didn’t know the American equivalent was to butcher the frame rate.

You’re probably right.

I enjoyed XV. You start to feel more in control as you simply get more comfortable with the system; same with XIII really. I enjoyed XIII more, for what it’s worth.

Again, it was nothing but XII hate until the remake came out and then all I heard were rave reviews, and fond memories. I’m not going to stump for XIII-2 and Lightning Returns, but XIII is a good game.

Agreed!! Like I said, XIII has “one of” the best. The hands down best is X for me as well. I’d put IX, and XIV up there as well, tho the latter might not be exactly fair.

Blinded by Light, I believe. It is indeed a banger, and, again, a series high point for battle themes.

I didn’t want to think that, but I swear there were a few times that even the people on stage were all, “Alright, man, calm down...”

FFXIII is great, and if XII can be remembered fondly, I imagine all we need to do is wait another five years before people realize it has one of the best combat systems in the entire series.

That’s a fair takeaway. It just feels fairly arbitrary to me. The application of this law, in this case, seems to have only hurt everyone involved. Even if you make the (incredibly big) stretch that the kids family is predatory, and using his stardom to get rich, it didn’t actually stop that from happening. They’re

The fact that it is the law doesn’t mean it is right. That’s the crux of my question, which is why I brought up that I knew it was the law. I just feel the law is a bit strict, and seems to be ill applied. I’ve clearly kicked a hornets nest on this, though.

In my experience the mozambique only ever wins if the other person is unarmed, but that scenario will actually happen a lot because of the memes. You’ll drop with another team, the other person will not pick it up because “ugh, mozambique” then punch you for 60 health while you just shoot him twice because he is

I’m sorry, can someone tell me why this is a big deal? I get it’s the law, but, like, y tho?

Then yeah, I totally understand that. I more meant... the kinds of bugs that add a certain puckish charm to the game. In most forms of art I really appreciate the craft (I sound pretentious, but hear me out, lol), like the actual brush strokes that form the picture. Bugs in a game (again, barring like... the really
