There are sheltered and stubborn people everywhere, it’s hardly exclusive to NYC. But don’t you go talkin’ about my pizza; I’ve been to New Haven, and I disagree, lol.

Like I said in a reply to a different person, to each their own. Commifornia, NorCommie to be exact, suits me just fine, at the moment, haha.

That isn’t really fair. I spent a lot of time in the Poconos mountains in PA growing up, but even just in NYC there is Central Park, or the one that was closer to me, and which I frequented a bunch, Pelham Bay Park, which is 3 times the size of Central Park (and the biggest park in the city). Then there is the Bronx

I mean, there is some truth to this, lol. I remember my first time in the SF Bay Area, and being a bit incredulous that it is nicknamed “the City”. I still call it a small city, much to the chagrin of Bay Area natives, haha.

Ain’t that the truth. I grew up in NYC, then moved to a suburb in FL with a population of 200k in high school, and felt like I moved into a barren wasteland. I couldn’t imagine living in actual small town USA...

To start, clearly to each their own, but I don’t think wanting to play a set of characters, or playing with a unique style is prohibitive to playing fighting games. I mean, sure, there are limits (you’re not going to win many games if you want to win via a peaceful resolution, or only using one button, or something),

That’s just... very wrong, lol.

Exactly this. I remember being one of the best at my dorm in MvC3, but when my group went to our first tourney, I was the only one to go 2 and 2, and only because I had the luck of playing one of my boys in round one. I think I played a Mag/ Doom... something, and the guy bodied me, lol. Everyone else went 0-2. It was

I’m always tickled by how little people understand the skillgap that exists in fighting games. Like, I don’t imagine anyone would be all, “I took a few games off my friends in StarCraft 2, bet I could win my first match at a tournament.

Literally my reaction, step by step

Shenmue 3 ain’t out yet, could add it to the list. FFVII Remake still feels like it could vanish into thin air at the drop of a hat. There’s also Tekken x Street Fighter, assuming people actually care enough about fighting games to remember that it was announced back in 2010.

That’s actually a startlingly accurate description.

Everything before the 70's are a myth. Wake up, sheeple.

Ding ding ding ding! You win a fabulous no-prize! By which I mean a shiny blue star.

The law is spelled out, and they still don’t get it. Trying to explain a false equivalency might be too much for them...

I agree. All these kids in the comments claiming that you can’t copyright a dance like they’re lawyers when the quickest of google searches shows, yes, you can, could since practically the dawn of time, and it is as simple as video taping yourself doing it first.

Fantano had a good, and simple take on this, if you ask me.

I agree, a reason has to exist, but, for the life of me, I can’t think of one that makes them look good. For Lupe, that at least made sense (I was there at the foundry for that staged exhibition, lol). Lupe is a clear fan, and has been making some rounds. But the best celebrity event in the FGC so far has still been

Capcom PLZ!

This sucks, but it is one of the reasons why I respect the foundation of the FGC, and their sometimes anti-E-Sports mentality. They’ve been much more interested in creating a scene independent of the developers of the game while allowing them the ability to plug in if they want to support the scene. It means that if,
